Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a Special Needs Caregiver (DSP) to join our Hendersonville, NC team. You will work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities in home and community settings as a companion and mentor to help them reach their full potential.

We are urgently hiring for Hendersonville, Horse Shoe, and surrounding areas. Shifts include Morning, Afternoon, and Weekend options with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• One year experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming).
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Spend time on the client’s hobbies and activities.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.
• Help lift and reposition clients.

BAYADA’s Special Needs Caregivers (DSP) work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disability to help them reach their full potential.

We’re urgently hiring Special Needs Caregivers (DSP) for the following area: Hendersonville, Horse Shoe, and the surrounding areas!

Shifts available: Morning, Afternoon, and Weekend Shifts Available
*shifts subject to change based on client needs

How You’ll Make an Impact as a Special Needs Caregiver (DSP):

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
• Help lift and reposition clients.

Compensation & Schedule:

• Earn between $16-20/hr with weekly pay
• Flexible scheduling
• Short commute times (we try to match opportunities near your home)
