Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. in East Bay is hiring a Special Needs Caregiver to support individuals with developmental delays and challenging behaviors in one-to-one settings.

The role offers flexible scheduling (part-time and full-time), competitive pay of $28–$30 per hour, ongoing BCBA supervision, paid training, and benefits. Training and education opportunities are available to help you grow in this important care field.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in educational or healthcare settings preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification for Adult & Child required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one behavior intervention services.
• Assist with daily program activities in self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor, and behavior areas.
• Assist with personal care activities including bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility as needed.
• Implement and collect data on behaviors and goals from the Behavior Support Plan.

Maxim Healthcare Services in East Bay is hiring for a Special Needs Caregiver to work with children and/or adults with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one-behavior intervention services to individuals with behavioral challenges
• Provides/assists with daily program activities in the areas of self-help, communication, social, cognitive, motor and behavior and crisis intervention
• Assist client with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation and other activities as needed
• Implement and collect data of the behaviors and goals outlined in the Behavior Support Plan

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Previous experience working in an educational or healthcare setting preferred
• At least one year of experience working with children/adults with special needs who display challenging or aggressive behaviors
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences or related field preferred
• Current in-person CPR/ First Aid certification for Adult & Children
• Updated TB test
• Must be at least 18 years of age
