Under the direction of the Superintendent or Foreman, a Special Mechanic – Welder is responsible for repairing NJ TRANSIT buses for maintenance work and handling welding tasks.

This position is deemed safety sensitive per the Department of Transportation (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulations. The DOT Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of marijuana for any reason.
