Job summary

Haverhill Public Schools is seeking an Educational Support Personnel – Special Library at Tilton Elementary School in Haverhill, MA. This full-time position is 182 days (10 months) with 6, 6.5 or 7 hours per day, starting immediately for the 2026-2027 school year.

Salary follows the ESP Salary Scale: Associate Degree or equivalent at $25.79/hr or Bachelor Degree at $29.14/hr. Equal opportunity employer. Prepare to support students under supervision and collaborate with educators.

Qualifications

• Passing score on the Para Pro Test or 48 college credits.
• Associate degree preferred; or equivalent.
• Willingness to accept direction and cooperate with staff.
• Prior experience with children in a school or similar setting preferred.
• Must be physically able to lift and move as required.
• Computer literate and able to use assistive technology.
• Proficiency with Google Meet and Google Classroom.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teacher under supervision to support instructional events.
• Implement ABA strategies and behavior plans as trained.
• Data collection and reporting as instructed.
• Support students with self-help, independence, and skill practice.
• Assist with non-instructional duties and supervision.
• Operate instructional technology under teacher guidance.
