Job summary

Greenleaf Academy, part of Haverhill Public Schools, seeks an Educational Support Personnel in Special Education for grades 5-12. The position is full-time with a 182- or 227-day schedule; bilingual preferred; starting in the 2026-2027 school year.

The ESP will work under a certified teacher to support instruction, assist with IEPs and behavioral plans, and help students develop academic, social, self-care, and vocational skills both in person and virtually.

Qualifications

• Passing score on the Para Pro Test or 48 college credits.
• Associate Degree or equivalent; willingness to accept direction and cooperate with staff.
• Prefer prior experience with children in a school or similar setting; physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers under supervision to support instructional activities.
• Implement strategies and interventions per teacher plan.
• Support students in academics, social skills, self-care and vocational tasks.
• Assist with behavior management and safety plans; may require ABA strategies.
• Use online platforms (Google Meets/Google Classroom) in person or virtually.
• Perform non-instructional duties including supervision and assisting with testing.
