Construction Inspectors (Remote Site Locations) (Biotech)

GPI is looking for motivated Construction Inspectors with experience in bridges, roads, canals, utilities, and multi-use trail projects to join our team in Babylon, NY. Responsibilities:

• Perform field inspections at construction sites as a QA representative
• Conduct inspections and materials testing for construction materials
• Monitor projects for compliance with drawings and specifications, including reinforced concrete, masonry, structural steel, spray-applied proofing, soils, and foundations
• Execute field tests on concrete, grout, mortar, block, fireproofing, soils, and perform nondestructive testing of welds

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Technology preferred
• Ability to read drawings and specifications, write reports, create sketches, and communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and clients
• Two or more years of relevant experience
• NICET and OSHA certifications preferred
• Willingness to work at heights for steel and welding inspections
• Availability to work construction hours, including some overtime
