Job summary

The City of Conroe is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee special events for the Parks and Recreation Department. You will develop and implement events, market them, solicit sponsorships, interpret rules, and evaluate outcomes.

Lead staff, manage contractors, and ensure fiscal accountability with budget planning and reporting. Required are a bachelor’s degree or five years of supervisory experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work irregular hours including nights

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Business, or related field or five years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in Parks and Recreation preferred; two years in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and main server applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event development, implementation, marketing, sponsorships, and evaluation.
• Recruit, train, supervise, motivate, and evaluate staff and contracted vendors.
• Maintain fiscal accountability including budget preparation and forecasting funds.
• Submit participation and financial reports as requested.
