Job summary

The Borgata, Atlantic City, an MGM Resorts International property, is looking for a Special Events Coordinator to support planning, coordination, and execution of events and promotions. You will collaborate with PBX, Engineering, Sign Shop, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.

You will draft communications, manage vendors/entertainment, set rules with Compliance/Legal/Marketing, handle payments, and serve as on-site contact during events.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience in special events or related field.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support the overall planning, coordination, and execution of all events and promotions; coordinate assistance from other departments as necessary.
• Compose event and promotion communications, including guest letters, memos, event sheets and collateral.
• Research, develop and manage relationships with vendors/entertainment to ensure prerequisites are met.
• Create rules for all events and promotions; seek approval from Compliance, Legal and Marketing as appropriate.
• Process payments for vendors and event collateral, including creating check requisitions and purchase orders.
• Attend events and promotions to ensure details are attended to and serve as the point of contact for any potential issues.
