Job summary

Graphic Packaging International is seeking a warehouse operator to unload and deliver materials for manufacturing, recordkeeping, and inbound/outbound logistics. You’ll work with RF scanning, forklift equipment, and various production support tasks in a fast-paced packaging facility.

Required to meet safety and quality standards, participate in safety tours, and maintain accurate documentation. Training will be provided, with opportunities to grow within a large, diverse organization.

Qualifications

  • Ability to successfully complete written and driving examination required to obtain PIT license.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and detail orientation.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions, including sitting/walking/standing up to 12 hours and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner.
  • Participate in SBO safety process and tours.
  • Ensure production and distribution meet food safety and quality standards.
  • Deliver raw or in-process materials to production areas.
  • Document transactions between production and warehouse.
  • Operate RF unit.
  • Store materials in designated areas with proper documentation.
  • Unload, warehouse, and document inbound shipments; load outbound shipments.
  • Keep assigned area clean and orderly.
  • Assist in reconciling inventory issues.
  • Report damaged shipments to supervisor or group leader.
  • Check forklift areas and report issues.
  • Shuttle materials from outside warehouse for production needs.
  • Operate PIT, baler, and tape sealing machines.
  • Fill propane tanks as assigned; remove snow.
  • Instruct/train other operators when qualified.
  • Maintain all work areas clean and orderly.
  • Fulfill overtime to meet production needs.
  • Assist in other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Unload and deliver materials necessary for manufacturing needs. Duties also include: recording and warehousing raw materials and in-process materials for future use.

Work Devices

Roll clamp, box clamp, forklift, production sheets, clipboard, RF units, floor sweeper, snow removal equipment, and company truck.

Description Of Tasks
  • Perform all duties in a safe and orderly manner
  • Actively engaged, involved, and current in SBO process; Participate in safety meetings and safety tours.
  • Ensure production and distribution of products consistent with established food safety, sanitation and quality standards.
  • Deliver raw or in-process materials to production areas.
  • Properly document transactions between production and warehouse.
  • Operate RF unit.
  • Store all materials in designated storage areas, properly documented and accordance with designated storage patterns. Consolidate product in warehouse to ensure proper room in warehouse.
  • Unload, warehouse, and properly document inbound shipments.
  • Load and properly document outbound shipments.
  • Keep assigned area clean and orderly.
  • Help in reconciling inventory problems.
  • Notify Supervisor and/or Group Leader of any damaged shipments.
  • Check areas of truck described on forklift check sheet and report problems to shift supervisor or group leader.
  • Shuttle materials required for production needs from outside warehouse.
  • Operate Powered Industrial Truck (PIT), baler machines, and tape sealing machines.
  • Fill propane tanks, as assigned.
  • Remove snow.
  • Once qualified, instruct and train other operators.
  • Maintain all work areas in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Fulfill overtime requirements necessary to ensure production and distribution requirements are met.
  • Assist in other areas or perform other duties, as assigned.
Special Qualifications

This includes: Sitting, walking or standing for extended periods of time, up to 12-hours; Occasional Lifting up to 25 lbs.; Visual acuity and depth perception necessary to operator PIT equipment, and read computer screen or other electronic devices; Working in various temperatures & humidity levels.
