Job summary

The DC Army National Guard seeks a Special Electronic Devices Repairer to maintain vital instruments and tools, including night vision and battlefield devices, ensuring they are operational. You will test, read manuals, replace parts, and supervise peers as you gain expertise.

Training spans 10 weeks Basic Training and 25 weeks Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and benefits. A civilian career path in aviation, space or weather services is supported.

Qualifications

• Must have strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail for electronic equipment repair and testing.
• Interest in math and electronics helps with instrumentation work.

Responsibilities

• Test instruments, navigational controls and simulators.
• Read technical diagrams and manuals and replace parts as needed.
• Ensure quality control and troubleshoot equipment.
• Advanced level specialists may supervise and train other Soldiers.
