Job summary

Family of Kidz in Eastern Suffolk, NY seeks dedicated therapists to support Early Intervention and Preschool programs. You will develop creative, multisensory lessons aligned with IFSP/IEP goals, monitor progress, and report quarterly on child outcomes.

Collaboration with supervisors and a multidisciplinary team, plus daily billing and attendance tasks, are part of the role. Excellent time management, strong communication, and a collaborative mindset are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification required or in process.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and families preferred.
• Bilingual skills preferred to support diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized lessons for Early Intervention or Preschool students based on IFSP/IEP goals.
• Develop creative, multisensory lessons and report progress toward goals.
• Collect data on IEP/IFSP goals and report quarterly on progress.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Record attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to stay current with best practices.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings as needed.

• Location: Eastern Suffolk, NY
• Status: Part- Time, Fee for Service or Full time Potential
• Hours: Day, evening, and weekend opportunities available
• Early Intervention services operate 365 days a year and can be flexibly scheduled
• Preschool services will follow the school calendar
• Compensation:
• EI Compensation: $64-$75/ hour
• Preschool Compensation: $55-60/ Hour

Responsibilities

• Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP/IFSP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.
