Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator EI/SEIS Evaluator for part-time or full-time opportunities in Town of Riverhead, NY. The role involves providing individualized education for children in Early Intervention and Preschool programs. Responsibilities include developing lessons, reporting progress, and attending IEP meetings. Candidates should have a NYS Students with Disabilities certification and possess strong communication and collaboration skills. Compensation ranges from $64 to $75 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized lessons targeting goals from IFSP/IEP.
• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons based on IFSP/IEP goals.
• Collect and report meaningful information on IEP/IFSP goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.

Job description

Special Educator EI/SEIS Evaluator

Part‑Time, Fee for Service or Full‑time Potential. Hours: Day, evening, and weekend opportunities available. Early Intervention services operate 365 days a year and can be flexibly scheduled. Preschool services will follow the school calendar.

Compensation: EI Compensation $64‑$75 per hour. Preschool Compensation $55‑$60 per hour.

Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. The position posted may be either full‑time or fee‑for‑service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Work with students who are in Early Intervention or Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).
• Develop creative and multi‑sensory lessons based on the IFSP/IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP /IFSP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP/IFSP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP/IFSP meetings.

Responsibilities for CPSE Evaluations

• Perform comprehensive evaluations in clinic, home and/or preschool based settings.
• Write detailed evaluation reports demonstrating the child’s abilities and areas of difficulties.
• Work collaboratively with parents, teachers, and the evaluation team.
• Develop appropriate functional goals based upon the needs of the student.
