Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Special Educator EI/SEIS for Dutchess County, NY to provide preschool services under IFSP/IEP during school hours.

The role may be part-time or full-time depending on caseload, with compensation determined by service type, experience and licensure. Roles align with school calendars and include ongoing professional development and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a setting supporting children and their families preferred.
• Ability to develop individualized lessons based on IEP/IFSP goals.
• Ability to report progress and communicate with families and the multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative, multi-sensory lessons aligned to IEP goals.
• Report progress toward IEP goals quarterly.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain attendance and submit billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to stay current.
• Engage with parents, teachers, and professionals professionally.
• Attend IEP meetings.

Responsibilities:

Work with students who are in a Preschool Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) / Individualized Educational Plan (IEP).

• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IEP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IEP goals and report quarterly on child’s progress with IEP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IEP meetings.
