Job summary

Family of Kidz in New York seeks a Special Educator EI to support students in Greater Catskills and Southern Tier during school hours, with part-time or potential full-time opportunities.

The position provides individualized EI lessons based on IFSP goals, tracks progress, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective outcomes.

Compensation varies by location: Schoharie $92/hr, Steuben $96/hr, Delaware $112/hr, with benefits for 25+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS Students with Disabilities B-Grade 2 Certification.
• Experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in an Early Intervention Program providing individualized lessons based on IFSP goals.
• Develop creative, multisensory lessons aligned to IFSP goals and report progress.
• Collect meaningful information on IFSP goals and generate 6-month progress reports.
• Maintain ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain attendance records and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings and IFSP meetings.

Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

• Work with students who are in a Early Intervention Program providing individualized lessons which target goals from the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
• Develop creative and multi-sensory lessons based on the IFSP goals and report progress toward these goals.
• Collect meaningful information on IFSP goals and generate 6 month reports based on child’s progress toward IFSP goals.
• Ongoing communication with supervisors and multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate attendance and submit electronic billing daily.
• Attend professional development trainings to maintain best practice approach and continue personal development.
• Maintain professionalism with parents, teachers, and other professionals.
• Attend IFSP meetings.
