Job summary

Liberty Common School is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional at the Aristotle Campus to join the Academic Support Team. The role supports students with behavioral challenges and provides tutoring and organizational help under the supervision of the AST Coordinator.

The position emphasizes collaboration on IEPs, small-group instruction, and confidentiality in a dynamic school setting. The position is full-time, hourly, with a 35–40 hour workweek and a pay range of $16.50–$20.00 per hour,

Qualifications

• Assist students with behavioral challenges as part of the special education and academic support team.
• Provide tutoring and organizational help to students, including those on IEP, under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with behavioral challenges and maintain high classroom expectations.
• Provide tutoring and organizational help to students, including those with IEPs under supervision.
• Help implement individualized education plans as specified by IEP documents.
• Assist small groups and individuals with lessons and monitor seat-work for understanding.
• Support students on Read Act, ELD, 504 and IEP plans.
• Assist in the implementation of behavioral management systems as directed by the team.
• Prepare instructional materials designed by supervising teachers.
• Maintain confidentiality as required by school policy.
