Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Transition Technician - Special Education to assist students with disabilities in career assessment, job development and placement assistance. You will provide interview coaching, travel training and job accommodations recommendations to enhance work experiences.

Responsibilities include recruiting for the Transition from School to Work program, coordinating transportation, performing vocational assessments, and building relationships with local employers.

Qualifications

• High School education required.
• Arizona IVP fingerprint card current.
• Valid AR driver’s license or ability to obtain.
• Experience with students ages 16–22 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support students with disabilities in transition from school to work.
• Coordinate transportation and mobility to appointments.
• Provide vocational assessments and career exploration assistance.
• Engage employers and community partners for job placements.
• Maintain data and case files for each student.
