Job summary

Mesa Public Schools is seeking a Transition Technician to support students with disabilities in transitioning from school to work. You will assist with career assessment, job development, and placement, plus follow-up supports including interview prep and travel training.

You will build relationships with Mesa community employers and provide job accommodations recommendations to enhance work experiences. Strong collaboration with IEP/IPE teams is essential.

Qualifications

• High School education is required.
• Arizona IVP fingerprint card is required.
• Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
• Demonstrated experience working with students aged 16–22.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students for the Transition from School to Work program.
• Assist students with mobility/transportation to keep appointments.
• Provide vocational assessments to students.
• Assist with career exploration activities.
• Disseminate TSW information to employers, students, parents and staff.
• Match students to employers through planning and data gathering.
• Provide on-site training at community job sites.
• Collect data to document students' progress on the job.
