Job summary

Spruce Mountain School District - RSU #73 is seeking Educational Technician II’s to join our special education programs serving Jay, Livermore, and Livermore Falls.

The full‑time position involves working with students with disabilities across elementary to high school, delivering curriculum support, and assisting with instruction under supervision, while keeping progress records for behavior and academics.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible and apply for or have authorization as an education technician II through the Maine Department of Education.
• Maine State Law requires all school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) for a Department of Education.
• Experience working with students with challenging emotional / behavioral needs and at risk students with academic, social and behavioral concerns is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide curriculum support and short-term instruction under supervision.
• Introduce new learning preplanned with consultation from the supervising teacher.
• Maintain records of student progress with behavior and academics.
• Some students require personal care needs.
