Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking an instructional assistant to support teachers of students with disabilities. You will assist with instructional duties, prepare materials, supervise students, and aid in personal care as required.

Under teacher supervision, you will collect data, help implement behavior plans, support language development activities, and manage classroom tasks to maintain a productive learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience as a teacher aide or with children preferred.
• Ability to lift and assist students as needed.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher by performing instructional duties.
• Prepare classroom materials and supervise student behavior.
• Implement behavior management techniques and document progress.
• Operate classroom AV equipment and learning software as required.
