Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher in Trumbull, CT, to join our mission-driven team. You'll manage a caseload of students, implementing educational and behavioral programs tailored to individual needs while working closely with instructional assistants and other professionals. Our focus is on fostering student success through evidence-based techniques such as Applied Behavior Analysis.

Qualifications

• CT certification in special education, DSAP or Long-Term Substitute Eligible.
• Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis/Precision Teaching/Direct Instruction.
• Experience working with students with challenging behaviors.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students in a special education setting.
• Implement academic and behavioral programming as per each student's IEP.
• Supervise and delegate responsibilities to instructional assistants.
• Collaborate with BCBA and team members for student programming.
