Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with appropriate educational endorsement; or any combination of experience and training which provides the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and ability required to perform the work.
• Valid Washington State teaching certificate.
• Background clearance required (WSP and FBI).
• Knowledge of Washington State and Federal rules and regulations relevant to the assignment.
• Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Develops, plans and strategizes a program of study based on student needs and creates a conducive learning environment.
• Assesses student growth and provides progress reports; assigns grades reflect achievement.
• Implements district educational goals and policies; establishes classroom rules and maintains order.
• Prepares differentiated lesson plans and aligns materials to curriculum goals.
• Maintains open communication with students, parents, and staff; conducts conferences.
• Keeps accurate records and uses formative/summative data to inform instruction.
• Maintains student safety and supports school policies; can supervise in various school settings.
