Eagles Schools in Colorado is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide services to students with disabilities within a range of educational settings. The role emphasizes collaboration with regular education teachers to adapt curriculum and supports based on IEP goals.

The position requires active Colorado licensure or eligibility, and a focus on individualized instruction, progress monitoring, and family communication to enhance student outcomes across Mild/Moderate and other SPED programs.

Qualifications

• Active teacher or special service provider certification or license issued by the State of Colorado.
• Endorsement and/or specialized courses and training in the area(s) of Special Education and/or a Temporary Teacher Eligibility in area(s) of assignment.
• In order to be employed in this role, you need to hold a Colorado Department of Education Teaching License.

Responsibilities

• Provides learning/teaching strategies and techniques for students with special needs across settings.
• Collaborates with regular education teachers to develop accommodations and modifications for IEP goals.
• Teaches approved District curriculum and/or life skills to meet IEP goals.
• Assesses student progress using multiple measures and informs instruction and adjustments.
• Maintains confidential, accurate student records and participates in IEP meetings.
• Supports professional growth of teachers and staff through collaboration and coaching.
• Ensures safe, respectful learning environment and timely communication with families.
