Job summary

Michigan Association of School Boards is hiring multiple Special Education teachers for St. Joseph County ISD. Positions are full-time with salaries ranging from $47,784 to $98,738, based on experience and endorsements.

Eligible programs include Elementary CI/AI, Moderate Cognitive Impairment, Secondary Severe M.I., and Secondary Intensive Support. Requirements include Michigan Teacher’s Certificate and Special Education Endorsement.

Qualifications

• Meet Highly Qualified Standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and work toward achievement of performance objectives for each assigned student, with data collection and evaluation.
• Instruct students individually and in groups using multi-sensory techniques.
• Collaborate with assistant teachers to maintain a safe classroom and meet objectives.
• Evaluate, revise and implement classroom curriculum.
• Maintain records and be responsible for student safety and transportation.
