Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of education (PSC approved)
• Georgia certification requirements required
• Experience teaching preferred
• Knowledge of GCPS AKS curriculum and policies
• Ability to infuse technology into instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Understanding of teaching/learning process
• IDEIA/due process understanding

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide learning experiences based on the district's AKS curriculum.
• Provide direct instruction and/or specially designed instruction to students.
• Consult with teachers/administrators to develop academic and behavioral programs.
• Participate as an active member of the school faculty and duties.
• Conduct in-service programs on IDEA, curriculum and management techniques.
• Communicate and collaborate with regular educators to support students with disabilities.
