Job summary

Clarifi Staffing is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a full-time role in an Illinois school district. You will lead a self-contained classroom of about 10 students, mainly with autism and varying support needs, in Melrose Park.

The schedule runs 8:30 AM to 3:40 PM, emphasizing tailored strategies and structured routines to promote student growth. You will track progress, participate in IEP meetings, and apply positive behavioral supports while maintaining organized documentation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field.
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Special Education endorsement.
Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Experience with students with autism or significant support needs in a self-contained classroom preferred.

Responsibilities

Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Implement positive behavioral and classroom management strategies.
Participate in IEP meetings and support the development of student goals.
Lead and manage a self-contained classroom of approximately 10 students.
Support students with autism, including those with significant support needs.
Provide individualized instruction aligned with student IEPs and learning goals.
