Responsibilities

Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a self-contained classroom.
Assist students in addressing academic, behavioral, and developmental delays.
Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies based on student needs.
Support students requiring special education services.
Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other school staff.
Consult with school staff regarding appropriate academic and behavioral interventions.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
Maintain appropriate documentation and communication regarding student needs and progress.
Promote a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
