BASIS Ed in Baton Rouge Mid City is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a Self-Contained Classroom to join a bright, dedicated team.

The role focuses on serving students with disabilities through IEP-driven instructions, collaboration with general education staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The position involves coordinating IEP meetings, data collection, and delivering individualized supports.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree and valid state background check plus current special education certification.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small group settings or 1:1.
• Interact directly with assigned students to fulfill IEP requirements.
• Provide specially designed instruction and supports as per IEPs and service minutes.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement IEP requirements and ensure FAPE.
• Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings and related services.
• Collect and maintain data for IEP goals and reporting.
