BASIS Ed is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a Self-Contained Classroom at our Baton Rouge Mid City campus. You will work directly with students under IEPs, delivering specially designed instruction and coordinating IEP meetings with a passionate, collaborative team.

The role involves small group and 1:1 instruction, collaboration with general educators, and ensuring compliance with state and federal special education requirements. Strong communication with families is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required to teach in this role.
• Current Special Education certificate valid in relevant jurisdiction.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Work with students with disabilities in small group or 1:1 settings.
• Support IEP requirements and collaborate with general education teachers.
• Coordinate IEP team meetings and maintain student records and confidentiality.
• Provide specially designed instruction and related services as required by IEPs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.
