Job summary

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students in a resource room setting for the 2026–2027 school year in Dearborn, MI. The teacher will provide individualized academic, social-emotional, and behavioral support while helping students develop skills for success.

Caseload includes 9th Grade OR 10th–12th Grade with approximately 14–20 students in a resource room. This is a full-time, in-person role with 40 hours/week starting September 8, 2026.

Qualifications

• Previous Special Education experience preferred.
• Michigan Special Education certification preferred.
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted academic support to students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies based on student needs and IEP goals.
• Provide social-emotional support and help students develop self-advocacy and independence skills.
• Implement appropriate behavior interventions and positive behavior support strategies.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, families, and related service providers.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs.
• Maintain a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
