Job summary

Ampersand Therapy in Boulder, CO is hiring a Special Education Resource Teacher to support middle school students. You’ll develop and manage IEPs, provide instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive learning environment.

This full-time, 1.0 FTE role offers a steady school-year schedule with W-2 employment, liability insurance, healthcare benefits, and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Valid Colorado Department of Education Special Education Generalist license or in process.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of classroom experience.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
• Provide specialized instruction in academics, behavior, social-emotional learning, and executive functioning.
• Deliver research-based interventions based on individual student needs.
• Monitor student progress and maintain compliant documentation and progress reports.
• Coordinate annual, initial, and reevaluation IEP meetings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families.
• Collect and analyze assessment data to guide instruction and eligibility decisions.
• Foster a safe, equitable, and supportive learning environment.
