Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and deliver differentiated instruction in math, science, social studies, ELA, and social skills tailored to behavior needs.
• Mentor and develop program paraprofessionals with effective instructional strategies.
• Collaborate with SAC, administration, nurse, BCBA, therapists, and others to write and implement IEPs addressing academic, behavioral and social-emotional goals.
• Implement and monitor behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with data tracking and strategy adjustments.
• Support students’ social-emotional development through coaching and direct instruction in coping skills and self-regulation.
• Foster a safe, structured, inclusive classroom promoting learning and positive behavior.
• Maintain regular communication with families, colleagues, and service providers for cohesive support.
• Facilitate collaboration between behavior program and general education teachers for inclusion.
• Lead PLCs, staff meetings, trainings to improve instructional practices.
• Observe, assess, and document progress to inform decisions.
• Advocate for students’ needs to ensure equitable access to learning and resources.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees to support a positive culture.
• Undertake additional responsibilities as requested by administration.
