Job summary

Adams County School District 14 is seeking a Teacher - Special Education Mild/Moderate to join our Alsup Elementary School team. The role focuses on providing specially designed instruction, IEP development and case management for students with disabilities, in collaboration with families and staff.

The position requires Colorado Special Education Generalist endorsement or license and compliance with district expectations.

Qualifications

Must possess Colorado Special Education Generalist endorsement or license within 30 days of hire.
CPI, Safety Care, or de-escalation training preferred.
Colorado READ Act training requirements for K-3 teachers as applicable.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and provide accommodations.
Plan and use strategies, materials, and technology suited to diverse learners.
Assess student learning and adjust instructional plans accordingly.
Collaborate with general education staff to support IEP goals and MTSS interventions.
Deliver instruction with Tier I core standards and differentiated supports.
Serve as the case manager for assigned students and coordinate services.
Establish professional communication with families and educational teams.
Maintain proper records and ensure compliance with IDEA, ECEA, and district policies.
