Job summary

Adams County School District 14 is seeking a Paraprofessional - Special Education Mild/Mod to support students with mild to moderate disabilities. The role involves instruction under licensed staff, implementing IEP accommodations, and promoting independence in inclusive and specialized classrooms.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, relevant coursework in special education, and Colorado paraprofessional certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Colorado Special Education Paraprofessional Certificate or equivalent required by state regulations.
• Substitute Certification highly preferred.
• Experience with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, modifications, and special education practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional support to students with mild to moderate disabilities in various settings.
• Assist with implementing IEPs, accommodations, and intervention plans.
• Reinforce academic concepts under licensed staff supervision.
• Support development of organizational, social-emotional, and self-advocacy skills.
• Monitor student progress and document observations related to goals.
• Promote student engagement and independence in inclusive settings.
