Job summary

Aya Education seeks a Special Education Teacher Mild/Mod for the McClellan, CA area to join our dedicated team for the 26/27 school year. You will design and implement IEPs, collaborate with general education staff and families, and adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs.

We offer strong pay, ongoing CEU access through MedBridge, flexible contracts up to 40 hours per week, and support from an employee advocate to help you succeed in your role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Must hold active state teaching certification with Special Education Endorsement issued by DOE
• Must have experience with IEPs

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Adapt teaching strategies and materials to accommodate various learning styles and abilities
• Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages student engagement and growth
• Ensure compliance with all relevant educational policies and legal requirements
• Participate in team meetings, professional development sessions, and school activities to enhance instructional effectiveness
