Job summary

Qualifications

Massachusetts Department of Secondary and Elementary License in Special Needs (5-12).
Ability to provide positive behavioral support to students in group and individual settings.
Understanding of federal, state, and local mandates governing SPED services.
Completes observations and reports on learning behaviors of students.
Demonstrates ability to work with administrators, colleagues, students, parents, and community.
Possesses excellent human relations skills and strong English language skills.

Responsibilities

Plan and provide appropriately designed instruction to enable positive learning experiences for students with disabilities.
Create a program and learning environment offering specialized instruction with supports and accommodations.
Align supports to the general education curriculum to maximize student benefit.
Collaborate with administration, staff, families, and community members to support students.
