Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals and state standards.
  • Adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs.

Job Title: Special Education Teacher - M/M Pay Range: $45-$50/hr Job Description: Special Education Teacher – Mild/Moderate - Elementary $45–$50/hr + $2,500 Placement Bonus | Full-Time | McClellan Park CA | CA Special Education licensure

About the Role:

Lead a special education classroom serving students with diverse learning needs. You'll develop and implement IEPs, manage classroom behavior using PBIS, supervise paraprofessionals, and collaborate with families and staff to support each student's academic and social growth. This role combines instructional leadership with hands-on teaching in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do:
  • Develop lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals and state standards

What We’re Looking For:

Must Have:

  • State Specific Department of Education Required Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s in Special Education strongly preferred)
  • DOJ/FBI Live Scan background and TB clearance, as applicable by state

Preferred:

  • 2–5 years working with students with learning and/or social-emotional needs
  • Experience implementing curriculum and behavior interventions
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with IEP documentation systems (e.g., IEPpro)
