Job Description

This is a 1.0 FTE position at Washington-Liberty High School.

Responsibilities

1. Implement instructional programs tailored to meet students' needs, interests, and abilities using appropriate materials.
2. Maintain a safe and orderly environment.
3. Communicate with parents/guardians.
4. Maintain complete and accurate student records.
5. Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, instructional assistants, parents, and community members.
6. Monitor and assess student achievement.
7. Attend ongoing professional development and meetings.

Experience

• Teaching experience in special education or related areas.
• Knowledge of best instructional practices.
• Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
• Experience in educational and instructional leadership.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Virginia licensure.
• Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education is preferred but not required.
