Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Special Education Resource Teacher for a leave-cover assignment at Boulder Hill Elementary School in Illinois (2/18/27–5/20/27).

You will provide direct services to students aged 3–21, manage a caseload, and participate on the IEP team, collaborating with general and special education staff to ensure appropriate programming, evaluation, progress monitoring and district compliance.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS I endorsement.
• Recent special education teaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques for students with disabilities.
• Ability to write and implement IEPs; strong communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with families, staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services to students with disabilities aged 3–21.
• Manage a caseload and participate as an IEP team member.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff for appropriate programming.
• Evaluate students, write reports, and document progress regularly.
• Monitor progress and coordinate MTSS prereferral strategies.
• Maintain records and communicate with parents and staff.
