Job summary

New Story Schools (PA) seeks a qualified special education teacher to develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs. You will deliver engaging instruction with differentiated methods for students ages 5–21 who have autism and emotional, behavioral, or developmental challenges.

You will manage classroom behavior, track progress, and prepare required reports, while leading and supporting classroom staff to ensure consistent implementation of student plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and PA Special Education certification.
• Minimum three months of experience with students with disabilities.
• Knowledge of child development, differentiated instruction, and behavior management.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs and lesson plans that meet each student’s needs.
• Deliver engaging instruction using varied teaching methods.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe learning environment.
