Job summary

Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to inspire and support students with diverse learning needs across our campuses. You will design and implement personalized learning approaches, monitor progress, and collaborate with families and colleagues to help each student reach their potential.

You will manage engaging instruction, maintain accurate records, adhere to district policies, and uphold our values while traveling between campuses as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Special education certification with proper endorsement(s).
• Criminal history background check required.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment that cultivates learning and engages students.
• Use direct instruction to promote social, physical and intellectual growth.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Identify disabilities and seek appropriate referrals as needed.
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with laws and district policies.
• Deliver personalized learning approaches and accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Implement established curriculum and educational philosophy to reach curriculum goals.
• Support school values and model professional behavior at all times.
• Collaborate with families and other educators to support student success.
