Legacy Traditional Schools is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students needing special services. You will work one-on-one to develop personalized learning plans and track progress within our proven curriculum.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and a current SPED certification. A background check is mandatory; two+ years SPED experience is preferred. Positions available across multiple campuses with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current special education certification with proper endorsement(s).
• Must pass criminal history background check.

Responsibilities

• Create a classroom environment that cultivates learning and student engagement.
• Utilize direct instruction to support students’ social, physical and intellectual growth.
• Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media to meet diverse needs.
• Assess student progress and provide reports as required.
• Identify learning disabilities and refer to district specialists as needed.
• Maintain accurate records per laws and district policies.
• Provide one-on-one support to tailor learning to each student’s needs.
• Master the curriculum and implement the school’s educational philosophy.
• Encourage positive values and model professional behavior.
