Qualifications

  • Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish or other district-identified languages).

Responsibilities

  • Provide Specialized Instruction: design and deliver individualized, evidence-based instruction aligned with each student’s IEP.
  • Develop and Implement IEPs: collaborate with IEP teams to set measurable goals and accommodations, ensure IDEA compliance.
  • Monitor and Assess Student Progress: collect and analyze data to inform instruction and maintain records.
  • Collaborate with Staff and Families: partner with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support inclusive practices.
  • Promote Inclusive and Supportive Learning Environments: implement positive behavior supports and promote equitable access.
  • Ensure Legal and Ethical Compliance: maintain confidentiality and adhere to district and legal standards; participate in IEP meetings and reviews.
  • Engage in Professional Growth and Collaboration: participate in PLCs and professional learning to improve practice.
