Responsibilities

• Administers developmental testing programs and district/state assessments.
• Provides first aid and care to medically fragile students as assigned.
• Advises parents on student progress and home strategies.
• Assesses progress toward objectives and maintains progress data.
• Collaborates with PLC, staff, parents and community resources.
• Counsels students to improve performance and wellbeing.
• Differentiates instruction for individualized learning plans.
• Directs para professionals, volunteers and student workers.
• Instructs students to improve academic, interpersonal and daily living skills.
• Maintains confidential IEPs, SEAS and related records.
• Manages student behavior to ensure a safe learning environment.
• Monitors students in classrooms, playgrounds and field trips.
• Participates in SAP, IEP and PLC meetings.
• Prepares written materials including IEPs, grades and attendance.
• Reports incidents and responds to emergencies as needed.
• Responds to inquiries from students, parents and staff.
• Schedules students with paras for academic and therapeutic instruction.
• Supports teachers in implementing established curricula.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
