Qualifications

• Montana Teaching License with Special Education Endorsement.
• Ability to establish and maintain an effective learning climate.
• Ability to interpret and implement board policies, Federal and State Laws, Administrative Regulations and negotiated agreements.
• Ability to assist in the development, revisions and evaluation of the curriculum and instructional services.

Responsibilities

• Meet and instruct assigned classes at the locations and at the times designated.
• Plan and implement a program of study following state and district goals/curriculum.
• Plan and implement as required by the IEP, or other identified criteria, the student\'s program by selecting activities and methods.
• Diagnose the needs and abilities of assigned students and prescribe learning activities.
• Evaluate each student\'s growth and develop instructional plans for the future.
• Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and parents/guardians.
• Assist administration in implementing policies and maintaining classroom order.
• Plan and supervise assignments for Educational Assistants and volunteers.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in committees.
• Maintain records in accordance with district policy.
