Job summary

BASIS San Antonio Metro is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to oversee and deliver instructional services aligned with IEPs for students with disabilities. You will collaborate with general education staff, ensure compliance with federal/state requirements, and support students through data-driven interventions.

Responsibilities include direct instruction in small groups or one-on-one settings, participating in IEP meetings, writing and updating IEPs, and coordinating itinerant

Qualifications

• Valid fingerprint clearance per Texas state regulations.
• Eligible for hire in Texas Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education services in small groups or one-on-one to meet IEP goals.
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure timely compliance with regulations.
• Develop and implement academic and behavioral intervention plans.
• Write, develop, and update IEPs aligning with state regulations and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to implement accommodations and modifications.
• Collect and report progress on IEP goals and maintain data documentation.
• Coordinate itinerant service providers and scheduling of services and meetings.
• Assist in the special education evaluation process, including initial assessments and reevaluations.
• Provide case management for students, including communication with families and staff.
• Support general education with differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
• Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of student records.
• Prepare data for internal and external reporting requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
