Job summary

BASIS Ed is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher at the BASIS San Antonio Metro Campus to deliver instruction aligned with IEPs for students with disabilities. You will work with general education staff, service providers, and families to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The role includes direct services in small groups or one-on-one, developing and implementing intervention plans, and maintaining accurate student data while supporting inclusive practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Texas teaching credential for Special Education.
• Valid Texas Special Education certification and fingerprint clearance.
• Eligible for hire in Texas Public Schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct special education services in line with IEP goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and service providers.
• Develop and implement academic and behavioral intervention plans.
• Write, update, and align IEPs with state regulations.
• Coordinate itinerant service providers and schedule meetings.
• Participate in IEP meetings and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain confidential student records and report progress.
• Support differentiated instruction and inclusive practices.
