Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and Google Apps.
• Ability to protect confidentiality under FERPA and related laws.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively.
• Ability to motivate students and monitor safety and well-being.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and implements updates as needed.
• Uses diagnostic information to support IEP goals and instructional planning.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress-monitoring tools for instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and IEP goals.
• Uses varied teaching methods and materials to meet diverse needs.
• Monitors behavior, maintains classroom discipline, and de-escalates when needed.
• Evaluates student work and coordinates grades and progress reporting.
• Participates in IEP meetings as a collaborative team member.
• Stays current on trends and best practices through PD and professional networks.
