Job summary

Eleutheria in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a Special Education Teacher for the 26/27 school year. You will lead a special education classroom, develop and implement IEPs, and collaborate with families to support academic and social growth.

Must have Illinois teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement; Bachelor's degree required, Master’s strongly preferred. Responsibilities include PBIS, supervising paraprofessionals, attending IEP meetings, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have valid Illinois teaching certificate with a Special Education endorsement.
• Strong preference for Master’s in Special Education.
• Background check (DOJ/FBI Live Scan) and TB clearance as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Lead a special education classroom serving students with diverse learning needs.
• Develop and implement IEPs and monitor progress toward goals.
• Manage classroom PBIS program, behavior tracking, and parent communication.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and collaborate with families and staff.
• Attend IEP meetings and maintain compliant documentation.
• Support assistive technology and augmentative communication devices.
