Job summary

Eleutheria is seeking a Special Education Teacher for Early Childhood in Phoenix for the 2026–2027 school year. You will lead a classroom, develop IEPs, and collaborate with families and staff to foster academic and social growth.

Requirements include AZ teaching certification and a bachelor’s degree; IVP clearance is also required. A strong emphasis on PBIS, documentation, and teamwork is expected for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Arizona Department of Education Special Education Teaching Certificate.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Master’s in special education preferred.
• 2–5 years experience with learners with diverse needs.
• Experience implementing curriculum and behavior interventions.
• Proficiency with IEP documentation systems (e.g., IEP Pro).

Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans with accommodations aligned to IEP goals and state standards.
• Adapt general education curriculum to meet individual student needs.
• Implement and manage PBIS, with behavior tracking and parent communication.
• Supervise and direct paraprofessionals in the classroom.
• Attend and lead IEP meetings; write updates and maintain documentation.
• Conduct assessments and track progress toward IEP goals.
• Collaborate with service providers, families, and outside agencies.
• Support assistive technology and augmentative communication devices.
