Qualifications

• Current Indiana Department of Education Professional Educator's License with Special Education endorsement.
• Criminal and DCS background checks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement legally mandated, customized IEP goals and services for each student.
• Modify lesson plans using multi-sensory teaching techniques to accommodate diverse learners.
• Monitor progress with formal and informal assessments and update IEP goals accordingly.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, speech therapists, and administrators to support holistic student development.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations.
• Implement behavior intervention plans and manage classroom behavior to create a safe learning environment.
• Supervise instructional assistants or paraprofessionals.
